MEETING WITH SZANSA (05/08/2013)

Today I went with Darek, the head of EVS, to open a bank account. Also, I have accompanied my money currency change and I have gone to the office of the organization. There I met the maximum responsible Anka, and the whole team. They showed me the building, really comfortable and cozy. Then we had a small meeting with all team members. Everyone has been explaining to me what their job and how they can help me. I also introduced myself and I trying to express my desire to participate in all the activities they have proposed me.

In this meeting we have been talking about the activities that Szansa purpose me and I liked what I heard. They way of working is simple, democratic and you can express yourself through art, music or any other means of expresión.A part of that, we talked about the timetable: now in summer is from 9 to 15/16 and in winter is from 11h-19h. My mentor until September is Darek, then will Ula, but I can also have touch with other team members as Martyna and Remik. We also talked about the volunteer meeting in Warsaw, to be held on September 9. I'm not sure but it is a meeting with all the volunteers that are in Poland during one week. Darek also told me about Holidays, about my Polish course (for 3 months, four hours a day  and for two months, two hours a day. He will be responsible for teaching the language.We will start in September, which is when will arrived a girl voluntary from  Italy. I have heard that not only will work in Glogów, but also I will go to surrounding villages. 

After the meeting I attended another meeting, we have been talked about organizing some activities called Piknis, a series of meetings where there are a lot of fun and educational activities. Language is no barrier to me, so I said I want to be actively involved not only want to look at and even, I have proposed some activities to do there (hairdressing Workshop, face painting, Tie Dye Workshop) and my proposals have been received with appreciation. People here are so kind with me, i feel really good!!
