PICNIC IN KOTLA BY SZANSA!!

On Saturday morning, I participated in another picnic organized by Szansa in a village called Kotla. I met more volunteers from this organization, they are very nice! In this picnic there were many activities: break dance workshop, face painting, hairdressing shop, football, drawing workshop, spray painting ... At first  there were no one, but at last little kids were coming and  we could do the activities. It was a great morning! The children were really lovely! We finished all activities about 3 pm and  we arrived home exhausted but really happy!!. A pleasure working with you!

NEXT STOP: KROMOLIN

Last Friday I went to Kromolin, a village near Głogów, with the Organization Dolina Miłości. They collected the last approval for the trip to the mountains on Monday. There I met many children, including Weronika, with who I can speak very well because she speaks English perfectly. Together with her and more girls, we made some posters, which reported trip to the mountains. It was most entertaining! After we ate spaghetti and  some girls represented a very funny show. They are real artists! They also took me to see the sights of the town and  we stayed at a beautiful lake. It was a great day! Thank you all for this opportunity! See you Monday for our trip to the mountains!

MEETING WITH THE ORGANIZATION "Dolina Miłości" "The Valley of love" (Bukwica)

First Day:

On Tuesday, Ana, Darek and I had a meeting with the head of another organization in which I will work. It is an organization located in a small town called Bukwice and it is dedicated to the care of rural youth. I was greeted warmly, with poster included: Welcome Sara. I loved it! After, we sat down to talk about my work there, the days that I will go,  about activities, etc.. And next week I will go with them to the mountains! (I need warm clothes!) I have also met other volunteers and workers of the organization. People seem friendly and I think that will be a very good experience. At first I felt a little lost, because in this organization barely speak English, and besides, I do not know what their expectations about me. Whatever, I hope to comply it! I have a lot of ideas, I hope the language will be not an inconvenience. Although I think children needs your smile more than your words.

Second Day:

The next day, on Wednesday, Monika picked me up at my flat to go with her to Bukwica about 3pm. We arrived and Carola, a volunteer, prepared us a delicious tea and something to eat. At that time I met some children, as Paweł, who looked askance at me because he is very shy. Then came more volunteers and more children and we went walking in the countryside to the next town, Nielubia. They wanted to show me the horses, but  it was unsuccessful. Then, we went to the park where we played with the kids. After this, we returned to Bukwica. On the way I talked a lot with Monika, is really lovely and I was glad to know that she is happy because I am a volunteer in her organization. At 7 pm we returned home. On Friday more!
