PICNIC IN Bądźów

On Sunday the 18th, returned to celebrate another activity, a picnic in a village near Glogów. There we were conducted activities for children. We did our activities, face painting, hairdressing shop, jump rope contests, etc.. It was a great evening, quiet but very nice. I love the kids here, they are precious and adorable. I love working with kids because I think they deserve the best, they are our future and we must take care of them. Good work team lead by Natalia!!

CONCERT IN POLKOWICE

On Saturday the 17th, we went to a concert in the city of Polkowice. A volunteer from Szansa, Remik, plays in a band, The Postman. They play music of the Beatles and other rock and roll songs of famous bands. And they do it really well! 

I loved it! Definitely, Poland is full of artists.

VISIT ZIELONA GÓRA (16.08.2013)

In our spare time, Sandro and I visited the city of Zielona Góra, which is near Głogów. There, we met with some friends and  we walked around old town. We also went to a lake, landscape and nature is beautiful there and  we spent a pleasant afternoon. I'm surprised the proximity of the Polish people. In Spain we thought that Polish people were very closed, serious, but not, the people here are really friendly, generous and very polite. At night, we went to a barbecue with more friends and later enjoyed the evening Polish. It was really great! 

FEAST OF ASSUMPTION OF OUR LADY (15.08.2013)

Because of the Feast Day of the Assumption of Our Lady, was held in a concentration in Głogów there were stands dedicated to the third sector, to NGOs that offered information and activities on it work in this field. At least a dozen organizations gathered around Kolegiata (something like a cathedral). Szansa also stated it stand there, and we offered activities for children (face painting, hairdressing workshop, educational games, drawing, hoops, etc..) I took care of hairdressing workshop and I also helped in the activity of face painting. It was a long day but enjoyed it. Besides, I got to meet with the other organization with wich I will also work. This organization works in the villages around Glogów with children. They look like a nice people and I think I will enjoy and learn a lot from them too. We need to meet with them to specify my work there.
